This Privacy Policy explains how Stream Terminal (streamterminal.io, "we", "us") collects and uses information when you visit our website. We aim to collect as little as possible and to keep analytics privacy-friendly.
Who we are
Stream Terminal is a free livestream-analytics website that aggregates publicly available data about live streams and public chat from third-party platforms. You can reach us at privacy@streamterminal.io.
Information we collect
- Usage analytics. By default we use a cookieless, aggregate analytics tool (Vercel Web Analytics) that does not use cookies or identify you. If you accept analytics cookies, we also use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), which collects your approximate location (derived from your IP, which GA4 does not store), device and browser type, pages viewed, referring site, and interactions.
- Public stream data. The dashboards on this site are built from information that is already public on the source platforms (for example public stream metadata and public chat messages). This is not collected from your visit to our site.
Cookies
We do not set any cookies until you choose to accept analytics cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics sets its standard cookies (for example _ga and _ga_<id>) to measure site usage. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
Legal basis (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for analytics cookies and Google Analytics, and on our legitimate interest in understanding aggregate, non-identifying traffic for the cookieless analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Service providers
We share data with providers that operate the site on our behalf:
- Google (Google Analytics) - usage analytics, only with your consent.
- Vercel - website hosting and cookieless web analytics.
- Cloudflare - content delivery and object storage.
These providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Data retention
Google Analytics retains user and event data for the period configured in the property (up to 14 months). Aggregated, non-identifying statistics may be kept for as long as the site operates.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time via "Cookie settings". To exercise a right, contact us at privacy@streamterminal.io. If you are in the EEA, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).
Streamers
If you are a streamer and would like to ask a question about the public data shown for your channel, contact us at privacy@streamterminal.io.
Children
This site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
